The Neighbor
One must have a neighbor
It's inevitable
Someone will live in the house next to yours
At some point
If you're lucky they'll enjoy a good pint of ale
Regularly
And a smoke or two (but not cigarettes - pleth!!)
A real smoke!
But maybe they' re lame
A shame
And leave their crap out on the lawn
When they're gone
Or the kids are obnoxious and run amok
PITA
And scream at each other and the parents too!
What a joke!
You can't choose your neighbors unfortunately
Fences you know
According to the Frosty snows and winds of chance
But then it shows
Intolerance or tolerance in deference to all
Chances...
So many words to convey a frustration true
To avoid the blue
And now the president is black, hold off attack
Change is due?
Or just another piece of peat in the curing pots
Of soothing Scotch
Forever in my mind it seemed to catch me hoping
Or its true...
I don' t believe or trust in systems see
They all fail
So neighbors actually matter to me, I pray for good ones
Not so silent
Speak to me in open tones and hearts that bind
Stroganoff sublime
And wine to cleanse the pallets mind descend
in open ends
Across the pond do some oft fond a dream of Monets Picnic
In American backyards
Ravel du nuit, nous sommes petit
Tres petit
Avec le change -melange de vie et vin
Le soleil
Petit déjeuner, les crepes, mes amours
La joie
Ma fille bonbon, ma femme bonbon
Et les voisins
Les Voisins c'est merde
Sometimes...
