Under The Mercy

Under the mercy

Unto the glory
On to the One
Who authored the story

What witness we have
To wonders unseen
What fears we will ponder
Alone, unredeemed

But rest ye your heart
And ponder no more
All that that living
God has in store

Is meant for the good
Of those that He loves
Being cleansed in the blood
That was shed from above

Under the mercy
Unto the glory
The mighty Three in One
Who authored the story

Of your life...

In The Humming Air*

I sit poolside
I am butterfly'd
I am hypnotized
By the space

In true dreams
I flew scenes
I drew time
In this race

Talk Talk
To the rainbow
Feel your heart flow
No disgrace

Being just here
Seeing so clear
So long ago
By grace

Breath with me
Be the sea
Traverse the chasms
In place

And step away
From yourself
And to others
Be the trace

Of love

Drfitwood

And then, all at once, I am a consuming fire
Longing for all that I have never desired
Your gift has opened all the closed doors
And set upon me wings that beg me soar

Yet often I drift onto sullen shores
Lodged in driftwood, soaked, deplored
Criminal in my need to rage
And beat against this fleshly cage

I resist, then insist, on my way
Until you calm my heart and stay
Closely guarding the life eternal
You have saved from depths infernal

I love you

I have little hope today
One of those days, I guess
I have a little rope though
I may tie myself to a tree

And be bound to something purer than myself
Maybe feel it's life, or know it's memory
It could hold me, or keep me cool
It may only stand there and sway

These days are somehow foreign
Like I've never known them before
I guess they have changed over the years
Or I have

I'd like a little hope today...

Over The Waters

stretch your mighty hand
sing your glorious song
touch my wounded heart
and be my love

i see the open sky
i breath the piercing air
i lay beneath the stars
and know Your love

press your hand to mine
breathe your breath in me
heal my broken spirit
and be my love

i hope for brighter days
i dream of flowing waters
i rest in green fields
and know Your love

take my seeking soul
lead my aching body
rain on me oh Lord
and be my love

so that I may smile
so that I may live
so that I may believe
so that I may be

Your love

San Juan

Are you golden lights?
Are you ringing bells?
Are you frozen fruit?
Are you sipping rum?

Do seagulls sail?
Do children play?
Do leaves rustle?
Do sands conspire?

In San Juan...

Does music sound?
Does happiness love?
Does silence rest?
Does the sun set?

In San Juan...
In San Juan...

Does the sun set in San Juan?

The Neighbor

One must have a neighbor
It's inevitable
Someone will live in the house next to yours
At some point

If you're lucky they'll enjoy a good pint of ale
Regularly
And a smoke or two (but not cigarettes - pleth!!)
A real smoke!

But maybe they' re lame
A shame
And leave their crap out on the lawn
When they're gone

Or the kids are obnoxious and run amok
PITA
And scream at each other and the parents too!
What a joke!

You can't choose your neighbors unfortunately
Fences you know
According to the Frosty snows and winds of chance
But then it shows

Intolerance or tolerance in deference to all
Chances...
So many words to convey a frustration true
To avoid the blue

And now the president is black, hold off attack
Change is due?
Or just another piece of peat in the curing pots
Of soothing Scotch

Forever in my mind it seemed to catch me hoping
Or its true...
I don' t believe or trust in systems see
They all fail

So neighbors actually matter to me, I pray for good ones
Not so silent
Speak to me in open tones and hearts that bind
Stroganoff sublime

And wine to cleanse the pallets mind descend
in open ends
Across the pond do some oft fond a dream of Monets Picnic
In American backyards

Ravel du nuit, nous sommes petit
Tres petit
Avec le change -melange
de vie et vin
Le soleil

Petit
déjeuner, les crepes, mes amours
La joie
Ma fille bonbon, ma femme bonbon
Et les voisins

Les Voisins c'est merde

Sometimes...
