God doesn't need anything from us
He doesn't need our piety
He doesn't need our penance
He doesn't need our defense
He doesn't need our fucking rosary
He doesn't care about our "INNER PEACE"
or our journey to Mecca on our knees
He doesn't need our words
He doesn't need our intelligence
He doesn't need our reasoning
He doesn't need our logic
He doesn't care about our bullshit religion
or our seventy seventh alter call
What put the idea in our stupid little brains
That somehow, someway, we could make our own way home
That we could earn our passage through the gates of heaven
That an ounce of human righteousness could amount to anything
It's not only ridiculous, it's offensive!
all we need to do is repent and surrender without condition
all we need to do is believe with the faith You have given us
all we need to do is receive the love that only You can convey
Thank you God that you offer forgiveness, reconciliation, and redemption
Thank you Father for Your Son
